AfroBrazil - Educational and Cultural Program

Be part of this exciting experience of unique musical rhythms born long ago when the liveliness of Brazilian music fused with the thundering sounds of African beats. Two continents, separated millions of years ago are reunited on stage in the voices of 35 singers, a thrilling performance of Capoeira, colorful folk dances, Samba, Carnaval. Interactive live drums and vocals will display the best of the African influence and heartbeat.

Welcome to Brazilian Voices

Brazilian Voices, a non-profit organization, is a vocal ensemble that performs at cultural community and philanthropic events. Brazilian Voices aspires to incorporate the best of Brazilian culture throughout the world.

You are listening to "Carnavália" written by Marisa Monte, Arnaldo Antunes, Carlinhos Brown and performed by Brazilian Voices.

The group evolved out of a vocal technique workshop organized by Beatriz Malnic and Loren Oliveira in 2001. Since then, these two musical directors have brought together a cast of almost 60 women, who volunteer their voices and time promoting and preserving the rich multicultural Brazilian heritage fostering multicultural exchange, music appreciation, and education.
